U11 Division 7 Road to the EES Ltd Cup Final
The U11 Division 7 boys competing in their first-ever cup competition for the club have reached the final on the 24th of May at 7:15 P.m. To reach a cup final in your first-ever cup competition for the club is a fantastic achievement. The boys began their cup campaign against Portmarnock AFC, the boys played superbly with Ryan and Tomas both picking up the MOTM award for their fantastic efforts throughout the game. The boys played Young Talents FA in the next round, this proved to be a testing game for the boys in which neither team could be separated. And before the lads knew it they were heading for a penalty shootout, but all their hard work in training came to fruition with the lads coming away 3-2 winners in the shootout. This result secured a home quarter-final vs Phoenix FC, this game was another test for the boys as they began the game brilliantly being 2-0 going into halftime but a resilient Phoenix got two goals back sending the game to extra time, but the boys came back and two superb goals from Jack to win the game 4-2 booking a home semi-final vs Celbridge Town AFC. The Semi-final was no different from the other games in proving to be a testing game for the lads, it was end-to-end action for Park with the scores being 1-1 in the dying minutes in which extra time looked certain until a corner at the death of the game saw Oisin connect and send Park Celtic into the EES Ltd Cup Final on the 24th of May versus St. Kevin’s FC. The club would like to wish the Division 7 boys the best of luck in the final and also congratulate them on their hard work and resilience in reaching the final, we’d also like to thank the coaches of the Division 7 boys who’ve continued to develop the lads and create a fantastic atmosphere to play football.
